About the Artwork:
A vintage inspired still life with warmth and texture, reminiscent of an old farmhouse scene in the foothills of Sicily perhaps. I originally sketched the work out in a bright blue and I love seeing some of those workings peering through the layers.

Jody Rigby, an emerging self taught Sydney artist, produces classic still life works with saturated hues and creates form with texture. With a passion for antiques and past career in horticulture, her work features utilitarian vessels and simple florals that would be at home in a country kitchen or moody hall.
