My painted idols are born from a diverse range of vintage images, intertwining histories, contexts, and worlds. Through collage and intricate layering, I explore concepts of beauty, spiritual iconography, and the creation of personal deities. In "A Gentle Man (Guardian of Avian Children)," I examine traditional nurturer roles and notions of masculinity. The central figure, inspired by a vintage footballer, tenderly cradles a bird in lieu of a ball.

This piece seeks to challenge the material constraints of plywood through the lense of still life. The artwork seamlessly blends various artistic disciplines by intentionally blurring the boundaries between painting, sculpture, and textile practices. I attempt to translate the intricate patterns, forms and textures found in plants, objects and drapery within a still life arrangement into plywood.
Beyond its visual appeal, "Springtime in Granada" serves as a gateway to societal reflections. Themes woven into the artwork include advocating for the significance of the handmade in a society dominated by ready-made commodities.
