Kae is a self taught artist who loves doing both vibrant detailed drawings and painting with acrylic on canvas. Her subjects are often singular such as a saddle, or a lighthouse - the background recedes to make the object the focus. This produces a negative space to make them appear ‘floating’. Many of her works are centred around a coastal element - shells, lighthouses with lots of different blues. However many of her drawings are done in neutral shades of black or what appears to be black objects, usually vintage items.
Kae is currently living on the Mornington Peninsula with her husband and 4 dogs.
