Andrea Wilson

Andrea Wilson is an emerging Sydney artist. She began painting in 2017 and shortly thereafter clinched the Waverley 9 x 5 Landscape Impressionism Prize. The early accolade compelled Wilson to ‘pack up her architecture practice and change her life to that of a painter. Her subject matter spans landscapes, still life and portraits, and for the past year she has focused closely on her late father-in-law’s insect collection.

 Wilson has enjoyed finalist spots (and the occasional prize) in many art prizes since then including the Salon des Refuses, the Ravenswood Art prize and the National Emerging art prize.  She has exhibited with Michael Reid Northern Beaches in a duo Show in 2020 and has participated in a number of group exhibitions.
