Roxanne Cooley

Roxanne is a self-taught landscape and still-life artist based on the beautiful Far South Coast of NSW. Stemming from years of living amid the natural beauty of regional Australia and a guiding sense of aesthetic, her creations seek to capture the essence of the landscape and a nostalgic connection to home.

With a background in Horticulture and appreciation of simple beauty, her still-life pieces represent her love of native flora and classic design. Her landscapes aim for an almost sensory Australian experience, focusing on light, texture, and a level of impressionism.

Roxanne works intuitively with oils and a limited palette, employing cool tones and textural variety. Her more recent pieces have taken on an alla prima approach to painting.
