About the Artist
Ainhoa Montánchez is a contemporary artist from Bilbao, based in Barcelona, Spain.
Graduated in Advertising and PR, she started painting with the age of 8 years old. She has developed her professional career in communication and marketing and recently followed her passion and became a full-time artist.
Her passion for travel, slow living and human mind led her to create colourful portraits that capture the personality and charisma of men and women from all over the world.
The characters, enormously expressive thanks to her handling of portraiture, are captured in a moment of abstraction from their surroundings and connecting with their innerself, calm and wellbeing.
Ainhoa´s work celebrates the joy of life and invites to connect with ourselves and appreciate the beauty of simplicity.
