Original Artwork

21 x 28cm | Oil on board | Framed in Tasmanian Oak | Ready to hang

About the Artwork:

This painting is a first in what will hopefully be many produced by growing fresh produce, picking it, painting it, cooking it and then eating it. I hope the fun of growing, picking and painting shows through in the finished artwork. Getting the colours right in the stalks was a lot of fun. And yes, then a rhubarb compote was made and eaten too.

About the Artist:

Simone creates small oil paintings on board with the idea that they will sit comfortably among curated items on a kitchen shelf or beside a bed in an individual, unique interior - almost as if they were vintage items themselves.

About the Artist

Simone began drawing and painting from a background in Graphic Design, having worked in Australia and the U.K. as a Magazine Design and Layout Artist and freelanced or worked on titles including Livingetc, 25 Beautiful Homes, 25 Beautiful Kitchens, 25 Beautiful Gardens, Homes and Ideas, Ideal Home, What’s On TV, Vogue Living, Australian Interiors, Gardening Australia, and Country Style Diary.

Growing up in Tasmania she developed a deep love for old houses and a passion for Interiors and she and her husband, Rob, spent the years raising their family in a rambling, 150 year old house, in Armidale, in regional NSW. Recently relocating to a beautiful farm house in the stunning South Gippsland region of Victoria, Simone creates small oil paintings on board with the idea that they will sit comfortably among curated items on a kitchen shelf or beside a bed in an individual, unique interior - almost as if they were vintage items themselves.

Her paintings are perfect for pairing with some fresh picked foliage for a well styled home interior, airbnb or other guest accommodation or as part of a gallery wall collection.
