About the Artwork:

Is it a picturesque dam? a beautiful lake?...or upon closer inspection is it moving closer to industrial run off?. As i've gotten older i've become more fascinated with the way humans interact with their surroundings, I wouldn't say I always like it, but it does fascinate me. Like many people i'm drawn to bodies of water, I find those spaces beautiful but it is bizarre to me that I'll find old oil cans, trash and someone out there seems to think "what a beautiful lake...perfect place to do a dodgy insurance job on the old VW", when that happens often enough people decide the place is ugly and then they move on to the next spot. It's funny in a bleak way and that's what i've tried to capture here, the perplexing interactions people have with beautiful spaces. Try and do better i think.
