Its something we don't often do but buying flowers for yourself is always joyous. These bright tangerine ranunculus were fun to paint even as they started wilting and becoming uncooperative.

Jody Rigby, an emerging self taught Sydney artist, produces classic still life works with saturated hues and creates form with texture. With a passion for antiques and past career in horticulture, her work features utilitarian vessels and simple florals that would be at home in a country kitchen or moody hall.
