Amanda Hinkelmann - During the Dry
$2,550.00
93 x 63cm. Acrylic on canvas, framed in oak
Artwork Meaning: This piece represents the dry lands of home through summer. It encapsulates the feeling of the hot months at home and the heat that consumes you. It is the scarcity of water, the desperation of the native grasses and the last of the wildflowers we see as the weather warms. It is the water holes, that replenished through the winter, and then dried, nothing more than cracks in the earth and a hint of what was. It is the hope of change and plenty. A metaphor for better days.
