Amanda Hinkelmann - During the Dry
We have run out of stock for this item.
93 x 63cm. Acrylic on canvas, framed in oak
Artwork Meaning: This piece represents the dry lands of home through summer. It encapsulates the feeling of the hot months at home and the heat that consumes you. It is the scarcity of water, the desperation of the native grasses and the last of the wildflowers we see as the weather warms. It is the water holes, that replenished through the winter, and then dried, nothing more than cracks in the earth and a hint of what was. It is the hope of change and plenty. A metaphor for better days.
This piece will be available for purchase at the Affordable Art Fair Sydney starting from 15 June 2023. If not sold at the Affordable Art Fair this piece will be available online from 19 June 2023.
