Sally Montgomery
Sally Montgomery discovered her love of painting in recent years, initially inspired by her daughter’s beautiful Year 12 major artworks.
A mother of four and alongside her husband Matt, Sally enjoys life on their family farm in Narrromine and Trangie, New South Wales.
With a background in horticulture and a deep appreciation for nature, Sally draws inspiration from the beauty of everyday life. From blooming gardens and quirky animals to charming country homesteads, her highly detailed acrylic paintings celebrate the simple pleasures of rural living.
Her artworks are brought to life through delicate colours, rich textures and a playful sense of femininity and whimsy. Each painting creates a little world of its own, where colour and curiosity meet, and animals, cottages and rolling storybook hills invite viewers to pause and smile.
Inspired by childhood memories and a love of the Australian countryside, Sally’s work captures the magic in the ordinary, offering a sense of warmth, wonder and quiet joy.
