About the Artwork: 

Shifting Light is part of my mini art series. This painting is capturing the moving light across the mountain range you can see from my sister's home. The view is picturesque! I could have taken a photo every minute to capture a different 'light moments'! I love how the light has created a sheer 'curtain' across the Great Dividing Range. It reminded me of light dancing across the top of water. Beautiful.

About the Artist

Rachel Prince finds inspiration in the natural landscapes she returns to time and again, from the granite outcrops of Girraween National Park and the coastal beauty of Yuraygir to the changing light viewed from her own veranda.

Through her work, Rachel seeks to capture the energy, atmosphere and sense of connection found in nature. For her, a painting truly comes to life when it finds its forever home and brings joy, warmth and positive energy to the space and the people who live with it.
