About the Artwork:

Because sometime, it’s just you. Self care represents the quiet duality of a woman learning to sit with herself in moments of difficulty. In times when you need to be your own best friend. It speaks to the way many women are conditioned to contain their own pain, to avoid placing emotional weight on others, often becoming their own most reliable source of comfort as a result. The ring resting on the table is not simply about loss or separation; it marks a deeper letting go. A quiet rebellion and a release from inherited expectations, roles, and ideals of who a woman should be in this world.

About the Artist:

Zoe is a visual artist based in Lakes Entrance, Victoria. Her work is a vibrant celebration womanhood, often depicting her own personal life experiences using vivid colour, symbolic objects and the abstract female form.
