Tanya Boyes began painting during the chaos of pandemic-era homeschooling, seeking calm and clarity. What started as a meditative escape soon became a mindful daily practice- one that nurtured her wellbeing and gently evolved into a meaningful creative pursuit. Based in Dalby, Qld, Tanya has since cultivated a grounded artistic life rooted in reflection and a love for visual harmony.

A passionate creative at heart, Tanya has spent her career honing an eye for detail, balance, and beauty. For over 20 years, she worked as a hairstylist in the Toowoomba region, cultivating a refined aesthetic and a deep appreciation for the subtle interplay of texture, tone, and form. Her love for visual harmony led her to study interior design, enriching her understanding of space, colour, and composition- elements that now quietly inform her artistic practice. Deeply inspired by the beauty of native Australian birdlife and flora, Tanya has developed a distinct, stylized approach. Her work celebrates the wild elegance of the natural world, translating delicate forms into minimalist compositions with muted tones and expressive texture.

She continues to explore and refine her artistic voice, creating work that reflects both her connection to nature and the personal journey that brought her to painting. Working from the home she shares with her husband, three children, and a spirited border collie, Tanya’s practice is shaped by the rhythms of family life and the calm she seeks through art.
