Original Artwork
61 x 61 cm | Acrylic on canvas | Unframed | Ready to hang
About the Artwork:
Featuring a palette of neutral stone tones, deep charcoal, soft greens, and vibrant pops of sky blue and terracotta, The Long Way Around is a rich exploration of texture and memory. Intricate patterned hills, arching bridges, and rhythmic tree clusters lead the eye through a balanced semi-abstract landscape.
About the Artist:
Susan's subject matter is primarily landscapes and Australian birds but has been known to dabble in still life as well. She works mainly in acrylic paint but has used mixed media such as gouache, watercolour pencils, ink, pencil and charcoal in the past.

About the Artist
Susan's subject matter is primarily landscapes and Australian birds. She uses these subjects to explore the many and varied different colours, shapes and forms that exist in both. That is why her style is constantly changing. Susan works mainly in acrylic paint but has used mixed media such as gouache, watercolour pencils, ink, pencil and charcoal in the past. Influences include Australian landscape artists such as Arthur Boyd and Brett Whitely, post impressionism and photography.
