Original Artwork
153 x 153cm | Acrylic & oil on canvas, Gamvar matte varnish | Framed in flooded gum | Ready to hang
About the Artwork:
Some paddocks never get tidied up, and I love them for it. A single gum stands in the middle of it all while fallen timber gathers and the grass does as it pleases. The closer it gets, the wilder it becomes, a reminder that not everything needs to be in order to be beautiful.
About the Artist:
Madeleine McKinlay paints the Australian landscape with a loose, expressive approach that celebrates open space, changing light and the character of country places. Her layered works balance bold colour with a strong sense of atmosphere and place.
