About the Artwork:
Sunday Drives began with the roads I keep returning to, out through the paddocks and back again with no particular destination. These six works hold the ordinary things you notice at that pace: a loading yard at rest, a roof through the trees, red dirt running into a pink sky. Painted in acrylic and oil and led by colour, they are an ode to the pleasure of the long way round. More of the series will follow.
About the Artist:
Madeleine is the artist who creates all of our bold and distinctive artworks. With every brightly coloured stroke and meticulous detail, Madeleine's heart and soul are poured into each painting. Throughout her life, Madeleine has painted people, places and nature – sometimes in more detailed, realistic study, and in many cases in more loose, imaginative interpretations – always featuring bright and bold colours.
