About the Artwork:

Believe is work that reflects the moving landscape of life - sitting with the complexities and moments of stillness.

About the Artist:

Krystal is a contemporary artist based in Brisbane, specialising in abstract painting. Her practice is grounded in drawing, mixed media, and textiles, with a continued focus on material exploration and expressive form. An intuitive use of gesture, colour, and mark-making, Krystal is influenced by artists such as Tracey Emin, Egon Schiele, John Olsen, and Brett Whiteley. Through large-scale abstract compositions, her work explores themes of
memory, place, and belonging, she investigates the tension between movement and stillness, and the shifting relationship between home, identity, and lived experience.
