Where the Light Rests captures the quiet beauty of day's end, when the landscape is bathed in soft light and time seems to pause, if only for a moment. Inspired by those fleeting instances when the light settles gently across the hills, the work invites the viewer to slow down, breathe, and embrace the calm . I used my palette knife strokes to capture the moments of changing light.

Working with a range of mediums Katie constantly aims to create pieces that are both unique and captivating. Each piece is a reflection of the deep connection to nature and the environment. Katie finds a sense of pure happiness when painting a stunning sunset sky or lush landscape. The use of texture in the works adds a three-dimensional quality that brings the scenes to life.
