This work combines alot of my loves. Moody aesthetics, flowers and vintage vessels. It has a feeling of opulence and the use of that deep burnt umber background and velvety deep teal drapery really allows the blooms to jump out in all their fluffy petallous glory.

Jody Rigby, an emerging self taught Sydney artist, produces classic still life works with saturated hues and creates form with texture. With a passion for antiques and past career in horticulture, her work features utilitarian vessels and simple florals that would be at home in a country kitchen or moody hall.
