Original Artwork
28 x 28cm | Oil on board | Framed in Tasmanian oak | Ready to hang
About the Artwork:
I love storing fresh produce in old wooden boxes at home. There is something aesthetically beautiful to me about one fruit or vegetable en masse rather than a mix or fruit bowl of different fruits. I enjoyed painting the different timber patinas here too - the skirting board, the floorboards, the orchard ladder timber and then the wooden crates. The smooth texture of the boots and apples temper it all.
About the Artist:
Simone Hale paints intimate still lifes and everyday scenes with a focus on light, texture and quiet domestic moments. Her oil paintings bring warmth and attention to familiar objects, gardens and rural life.
