About the Artwork:
On the Window Sill, focuses on a dried flower inside a glass jar, resting on a windowsill and backlit by a classic colonial crossbar window. This intimate image is a celebration of a hopeful place in the world for appreciating history and the natural environment. By valuing the found, the natural, and the historical, the work asks us to look past superficial consumption. Ultimately, the soft, encouraging light streaming inward offers a view of beyond—serving as a hopefult meditation on the of the future.
