About the Artwork:

This piece is a tribute to the enduring identity of an Outback life, to honour and reflect upon the quiet strength of rural living, where character is shaped by hard work, long rides, and quiet moments under wide open starlit skies. Through fine lines and detail, I aimed to tell the stories etched into every crease and scuff with careful attention to texture and wear.

About the Artist:

Juliet lives in Hampton, QLD, Australia and is a coloured pencil/pastel realism artist, bringing subjects to life with her keen eye for detail. Having a lifelong appreciation of animals and the natural world, Juliet started drawing pet portraits and wildlife. Inspired by her love of the equine field, Juliet has expanded her skills to include horses, tack and clothing apparel, where she skilfully conveys both form and character. Although coloured pencil is a time-intensive medium, being a “born perfectionist”, Juliet embraces its ability to achieve intricate detail and realism, continually refining her technique and expanding her artistic portfolio across a range of subjects.
