About the Artist
Jessica grew up in the beautiful bushlands of Warrandyte, and has lived and worked in France. She is currently based in Caulfield North, Melbourne.
Jessica has always nurtured her creative side through dance, poetry and the study of foreign languages. She is a self-taught artist who began painting as a means of self-expression, with a view of creating moments of calm in her busy life as a French teacher. Jessica is inspired by the colour palettes of both Australia and France, beautiful skies, memories of overseas travel as well as the simplicity of still life moments.
She has been a finalist in the Toowoomba Gallery Next Big Thing Art Prize (2023), the Corner Store Gallery Mini Series Art Prize (2023) and the Waverley Woollahra Art School 9x5 Landscape Prize (2023).
