About the Artwork:
Dear M, D, F and V, Sometimes, the things we carry feel heavy. Expectations, responsibilities, emotions—some we choose, and some we don’t. They build over time, slowly filling the spaces around us until everything feels a little tighter, a little harder to move through. I know this feeling well. For a long time, I thought the weight was something I just had to endure. Something that would always sit quietly in the background. But I’ve come to realise that it doesn’t stay the same. What we carry can change. It can shape us, steady us, and help us understand things we didn’t before. And sometimes, without even noticing, the very things that once felt heavy begin to guide us. They become clearer. They become the light. I don’t expect you to understand this straight away. These things take time. But I hope that one day, when things feel overwhelming, you will see that what you are carrying is not only a weight—it is also something that can help you find your way. Love always, Mummy xo
