Dear M, D, F and V, There are easier ways to make almost everything these days. We can buy instead of making, type instead of writing, and replace instead of repairing. Yet I'll always be drawn to things made by hand. Perhaps it's because they carry something machines never can—a little piece of the person who made them. Love always, Mum xo
About the Artist:
Catherine Nguyen-Hoang is a contemporary artist whose paintings begin with something real—a gesture, a shadow, a memory. She paints the familiar not to distort it, but to reveal the deeper stories they quietly hold.
