Original Artwork
123 x 123cm | Acrylic & oil on canvas, Gamvar matte varnish | Framed in flooded gum | Ready to hang
About the Artwork:
A dirt road curves away under a tall gum, with a gate left open at dusk. You can't see where the road leads once it bends, and that's what I love about it. It's a painting about saying yes to the turn you didn't plan and trusting that something good is around the corner.
About the Artist:
Madeleine McKinlay paints the Australian landscape with a loose, expressive approach that celebrates open space, changing light and the character of country places. Her layered works balance bold colour with a strong sense of atmosphere and place.
This piece will be available to purchase in person at the Sydney Affordable Art Fair November 5-8, 2026. Works will be made available online from 12noon Sunday November 8.
