A large storm had a pretty damaging effect on the surrounding farms and an unfortunate casualty of this (i've named him Jim) was carried downstream passing two other cattle who were apparently very confused by this sight. I was curious about this as subject matter for a painting. I wonder if cows get confused by this type of thing?
