This work, in particular, traces the footsteps through places and spaces of the past, almost like a shadow that follows us. The forms within the work echo the shapes of the terrain we move through—fragmented and seemingly mismatched, yet somehow always finding a way to connect. Those memories become embedded in the soles of our feet, so that wherever we go, they travel with us. Sometimes the journey ends, but the path remains. Sometimes it becomes our shadow, never truly leaving our side.

About the Artist:

Krystal is a contemporary artist based in Brisbane, specialising in abstract painting.
