Some are better than others at resisting the turn of weather. Dame Elisabeth Murdoch is one such variety - hardy, big, fragrant, a pleasure to have in my garden. I like to think the quilt I began to represent here, actually bears closer resemblance to a knitted, or perhaps crocheted, rug.
