The dog lies grounded, yet alert, head lifted and gaze fixed toward something just beyond reach, embodying calm focus before the next call to work. Painted in my expressive, layered approach, the brushwork carries a sense of movement even within restraint, echoing the breed’s inner energy beneath its composed exterior. Cool blue and earthy beige tones define the form, while a shifting atmosphere of brown, red-pink and pale blue builds emotional tension around it. I was drawn to that contrast—quiet presence surrounded by subtle intensity.
