My name is Anna van der Gardner, I am a passionate Botanical
watercolour artist living and working in Bronte. I love this particular
medium as I can add layer upon layer to create the vivid colours I
see in nature as well as creating a very detailed view of each subject I paint.
I love painting everything that is in the botanical or natural world. I'm
lucky enough to be surrounded by a botanical treasury of plants
which is where I draw my inspiration from. I photograph them
closely and study the fine detail before selecting which flower, bird or scene to paint.
